“Brazil has already fed its stomach and is now feeding its soul”. Cultural products, such as concerts, theatrical and dance performances, in addition to the many festivals in languages such as cinema, photography, fine arts and literature, already take part in the agenda of the majority of the population. Most Brazilian events mapped by Arroz de Festa are in the “culture” category – 25% of the total. The economic strength of this market is confirmed by data disclosed by IBGE/IPEA, which point out that 4.5% of the national GDP in 2013 will come from national events held in the country.
